Well I will tell you something strange that happend to me one time, but it was not in a public place. When I was younger I used to stay all night with my best friend all the time. I even had my own room. Well at times when I wasn't there her aunt might stay and she would sleep in the room that I did. Well one night at her own place the aunt killed herself, the next time I stayed all night with my friend and slept in "my" bed, i woke up in the middle of the night and I could not move, it felt like someone was pushing me up against the wall. It scared me and I screamed and my friend came running from her room and said what is wrong, so I told her. Her mom came to see if everything was ok, so we told her. We all had this strange feeling that it was the Aunt laying where she did alot. It may sound stupid but it was definitely real.

The Anne Frank house in Amsterdam, Holland and George Washington's Mount Vernon estate are the two most haunted places I've ever been to. Them and an old apartment building in downtown Denver. Very different hauntings, but if you go to either one you'll most likely feel the spirits there.

I've encountered spirits, just not in public places.

You say "public place" so I don't know that this counts but I've had an apparition in my living room off and on for past couple years but it doesn't follow me anywhere - doesn't come to work with me or anyplace. I don't know who/what it is. It doesn't scare me though. My granddaughter (7 mos) sees it too.

maybe or maybe not....could have been talking to a ghost and didn't know it......sometimes I see things go really fast before my eyes and think it my kids and come to find out they are sleeping....that kind of spooky.....I always get a quick glimps of things. So maybe it's my mind playing tricks on me!
