why you people say things tha you dont know? amazing what nonsense one can find out on www
showing a cham a mirror will not kill it, for sure. the cham will think there is one more cham around, that is it. Dont tell me that they never see another cham in the wild, broklyn?. it will act either frightened - turns dark or dark-spotted and runs away, or aggressive - turns bright-striped and will puff the body or turn sideways to look bigger. color pattern depends on the species.
a couple of times i demonstrated this with my veiled cham. i assure you that it left no trauma with him - although he would tend to return several times to that place where he saw the other cham to check out whether he is still there (the aggressive response) or remained hidden for say 15 minutes (the frightened response), he always forgot the issue soon enough ... i am sure that he leads less stressful life than he would in wild.

It would probably get stressed and turn a very dark color by seeing itself and thinking its another chameleon. Chameleons are very Territorial and do not like to see other chameleons around them. The only exception is during breeding time.

A male chameleon could grow to be greater vibrant in colouration and a female could grow to be greater uninteresting in colouration as they the two could be responding to their mirrored image - the male becomming aggressive and showing and the female turning out to be shy and submissive. Chameleons are nicely hidden through their base colour, eco-friendly, mixing with their eco-friendly atmosphere. Their actual colour is a mirrored image of temper, no longer atmosphere.

WHY DO PEOPLE EVEN ASK QUESTIONS LIKE THIS? IT WILL STRESS THE LIZARD OUT. CHAMELEANS ARE VERY SENSITVIE ANIMALS AND ANY FORM OF STRESS CAN KILL THEM. IF YOU WANT A LIZARD YOU CAN PLAY WITH GET A BEARDIE OR AND IGGY.
