How prevalent is the view that Israel should be eradicated in Middle eastern countries?

Surely that is dependent on wether you are talking to moderate members of society or the more extreme.

I think moderate people would disagree, it is in their best interest to lead a peaceful life, where as this is not true for the extreme on BOTH sides of the conflict.

I'm curious to find the answer too, but the main problem is this: We're not going to get the real answer from arabs in the middle east. Arabs have been known to say one thing to those who don't speak their language and then turn around and say the opposite in Arabic. They're not all as stupid as Ahmadinejad to say it out loud that they want Israel off the map, but it has been an ongoing fight for centuries and deep down they're enemies to the end. According to many of them lying is OK as long it serves their purpose.

Obviously, both Hamas (Palestine) and Hezbollah (Lebanon) want the complete destruction of Israel.

The sponsors of those two terrorist organizations are Syria and Iran. Add in al-Qaida and you begin to see the extent of the hatred.

Some of the moderate Arab states (Jordan, Egypt) are willing to live in peace with Israel ... but even they have a group of fundamentalist Islamists who want to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.

As much as anything, it is the fundamentalist Islamists rather than nations, who want to destroy Israel.

we must eradicate Saudi Arabia first. Israel can be controlled. Saudi Arabians are safer than Americans are.

The "view" is too prevalent in the arab countries, particularly in afganistan, syria, lebanon and Iran (all insane religious, philistine zealots).

This is one of those questions that causes me pause; so I will say 75% would like to see Istael gone. But, most know this would trigger a nuclear war.
