Sid will be remembered more because of the drugs and his relationship with Nancy.
he also looked the part,looked like a stereotypical punk where as glen didn't.I don't think Sid could even play a note but he did look good.
i think glen got booted out of the sex pistols because he didn't look the part and because of musical differences.
He went on to form a band called the rich kids.
glen indeed is still going strong,i saw him playing live with the band dead men walking a couple of years ago.
met him after the gig and seemed like a good bloke.

Sid Vicious is already dead Dave C.
I think Sid Vicious will be remebered more, as he was in the band when they became bigger and he also did the solo stuff afterwards- even though he didn't actually play the bass for the Sex Pistols, they just used what Glem Matlock had already recorded for the band.

Glen Matlock happens to have a website. Matlock was more musically talented than Sid Vicious, but Vicious embodied the image and rebellian of punk and that's why people will remember him more so, but Matlock is underrated in my opinion.

sid of course! his legacy has overtaken the human and he has been immortalized in history. he personifies the movement and even though a killer a hero to many! of course dying young helps and he is better lookin' than glen matlock! sid will not be allowed to fade away,not while he's still selling t-shirts!he's an icon of our culture.

Sid Vicious is more notorious.....All of them are more notorious just for being in the Sex Pistols then for any music they made while they were in the band.

Sid; early rock and roll death followed by a movie about it. Plus the whole relationship with Nancy is so well known.

In the media , of course SIDNEY LEFT A MUCH more memorable image, ( slicing his chest with razor blades , outtening his cigarettes on his arms , and Nancy ), but musicians internationally know that cousin GLEN was the "BRAINS" of the outfit, and will always be there when the band does a reunion show.
