I would say 16 to date. As far as moving past that... it depends on the girl... I personally would wait until you are over 16 - 18 years old.

i say 16 you should really think be 4 you make a decision on it because lots of guy will take advantage of a girl who isn't sure of what to do

16 is a good age, you're in HS by then, you've sorta got yourself together..and by then you really know what is starting to interest you..
