Pregnancy means conception. Do you mean how long does it take for the egg to implant in the uterus? It takes 7-10 days after fertilization for the egg to implant in the uterus, and some women can start having symptoms as early as the first or second day after implantation.

Conception and pregnancy are synonymous.
Do you mean, how long between the joining of egg & sperm to implantation in the uterus? That would be about 4-7 days.
Do you mean to ask, how long after giving birth does it take to get pregnant again? If that's the case, it can happen the 1st time you have sex after you get the go-ahead from your doc.

it is different with every woman. I got pregnant with my daughter about 4.5 years ago no problem and we have been trying for over three years to conceicve again with no such luck

it can happen as soon as the 6 week period after you have your baby. you are very fertile during this time... its very easy to get pregnet during the first six weeks.
