I hate the PS3, mainly because of the price. I also feel the Blu-Ray will become obsolete, and so will the PS3

First and foremost, PS3 is a next gen console, the processor itself is a cell technology which is far more greater than the Pentium 4, the whole feature of it is one of a kind, it is the combination of the different feature of different console put into one. For me the price is justifiable even though I'm gonna have a hard time saving money to buy it. Lastly the question is the same as asking the price of a Hybrid Car.

I think the price is 2 high 4 the ps3 and i don't like that thay have 2 of the same systems but 1 is $499 and the other is $599. and y do they have 2 systems they should have 1.

It's crazy when you can get a 360 for half the price. I have a ps2 and I have been looking forward to the ps3 but not for 600.00

It is expensive, but it is cheap for what you are getting. I think the price makes it more of a family gift than a one person gift.
It is going to take time to figure out if it is worth it, spending the money not only for the system but extra controlers, games and other accessories can be hard on a budget, but that is true for every system.

I am good w/ my xbox 360. If the ps3 is going to make it big anyway they will need to bring the price down if they are going to compete w/ microsoft.

I think the price is insane. How do they expect to compete with the xbox 360 and other less expensive gaming consoles?

It's way too high. It should be around $250.00. Then it would surely kick the Crapbox 360. It will come down around Q4 next year.

it does seem like allot but there are the two versions like there are with the 360 so just buy the cheaper one or wait a year and get it for allot less

Its a rip-off. I will wait three years and buy it for $149. Like I did with the ps2.
