A full body skin exam is all clothes off, even socks,
so the dermatologist can examine your entire body.
Go to a female doctor and you will feel no anxiety at all.

A full body exam will save your life, if any skin problems are found early.

The body has many types of skin (e.g. face, scalp, foot sole, nipple, etc.). A full body skin exam is done by a Dermatologist Doctor to check all surface of your skin to check if you have a disease or damage - you don't need to strip off nude, but you have to show all parts of the skin section by section. Doctor normally does this if you have fever and he/she wants to check out if he can find symptoms on the skin that may lead to early diagnosis of chicken pox, herpes zoster, allergy, skin cancer, etc. However, if it's done by your boyfriend/girlfriend, its something else that is sexually related.

Its just that. The doctor checks you entire body for skin cancer. Its a little embarrassing to be examined up close & naked but there are worse diagnostic tests (try colonoscopy or mammogram on for size). And it's certainly better that melanoma.

It's to check for signs of skin cancer. Basically just what it sounds like...a doctor examines all parts of your body to check for suspicious moles, etc...
