Again, anything can happen in a best-of-seven series.

I know a lot of people don't give the Padres or any NL team a chance, but if they get some hot pitching, it's anyone's guess as to who would win.

Nobody gave the Marlins' pitching a chance against the Yankees' offense in 2003, but Penny, Pavano and Beckett all pitched great games and helped them win. Any NL team could do the same this year - it's not like playing a 162-game schedule.

I think Verlander and Bonderman are the better pitching duo. Verlander is a sensational rookie who might get 20 wins this year and Bonderman has been on fire. I think Detroit will win.

They would not have a chance against verlander and bonderman. They are both on fire and I am expecting the Tigers to go all the way.

Bonderman and Verlander are better. They do have the better team, which always helps, but they have both been lights-out this season. B&V get the edge.

Well, Peavy imho is the best pitcher in baseball, record notwithstanding. But I think that Detroit is a far better team, with better coaching, hitting and defense. So I'd give the edge to the current best TEAM in baseball with Pudge calling the pitches. That team thing is a big part of why Peavy has a losing record.

The Tigers won't even make the playoffs. The Twins will win the division and the Yankees or BoSox will be the Wild Card.
