Oh, gosh. I came in with my answer but all the others listed here are really bad too! I was going to say a smoke alarm...it's just so ear piercing, though of course thats the point. Also annoying is drumming fingernails when they are directed at you. I start drumming too sometimes but I dont think the drummers get the point. Pack of morons those drummers are.

Yes, i have to agree with draytondon... A person's kid screaming out of control in a supermarket or store is the most annoying thing EVER!!
Makes you want to beat them yourself.
