I just tried to create a yahoo 360 account and was on the screen where it asks for your nickname and to select an email address. I type in a nickname (tried several) and selected the email from the list then hit continue. Then the page refreshes asking for the same information. Are any of you having problems creating accounts right now too?

Does the nickname box already have your real name in it when you try to sign up? If not that's probably the problem because Yahoo automatically uses this info to create your page.

The fix -
1. If not already signed into Yahoo, do so now.

2. Top left of page, under your yahoo ID, click My Account.

3. Should now see your Yahoo ID Card - At bottom, click Edit by Address/Contact Info

4. Enter your first & last name and hit Finished button

5. Now your ID card should have your name at the top.

6. Now either go to yahoo messenger and click the Yahoo 360 button again or go to http://360.yahoo.com/login.html?.done=http%3A%2F%2F360.yahoo.com%2F&.src=360 to "get started" again.

7. Your name should be in the nickname box. Erase your name. Enter a new one. Make sure the correct address is chosen and continue.

you could now no longer create a Yahoo account with no valid cellular variety. Yahoo will lose lots of ability consumers because of this, and consumers like myself who'd decide for to create yet another Yahoo account basically for e mail applications. i could no longer create a clean account as i became no longer prepared to demonstrate my very own cellular variety to Yahoo. instead, i'm going to apply yet another loose mail enterprise, and Yahoo's consumers will slowly disappear, the style of consumers actual won't advance. human beings decide for to regulate their privateness, no longer be compelled into giving it to social media websites. undesirable pass, Yahoo, undesirable pass.
