Eggs: skunks, racoons, and dogs are great at finding the nests, eating eggs, and leaving them exposed for almost any carnivore or omnivore that happens along.

Babies: Almost every bird, fish, reptile, large amphibian, and mammal that eats meat goes for the soft-shelled turtles before they find good hiding spaces.

Once the terrapin gets bigger and the shell hardens up, fewer things can eat them, but raccoons, skinks, and related predators will eat what they can. It generally takes strong jaws, long snouts (to fit into the shells) and semi-dexterous hands at this stage- although some birds in some places are known to pick them up and drop them on rocks to get to the soft meat.

Of course, in the US, the term 'terrapin' is used for turtles used in soups and stews, making turtle gatherers the biggest predators!

When they are babies every predator eats them especially birds. When they are older only animals with sharp teeth, (raccoons, foxes etc.) can get through their hard shells.
