Get out and about
Get plenty of excercise
Treat yourself and buy yourself something nice.
Talk to someone, it always helps to get any concerns off your chest.
Listen to some music.
Do something you enjoy doing and are interested in.
Think about all the positives in your life and focus on them

I beat the blues by doing some thing positive. Doing something I enjoy doing like:
Reading
Walking
Visiting friends and going out to dinner with them
Playing board games at friends houses
Watching some favorite show that I like on TV or getting a rental of a movie that I might like to watch
Going Shopping and picking out a new outfit
Fixing a really good meal and sharing it with others and watching the pleasure they get from eating it.
Surfing the Internet
Doing something nice for someone that they didn't expect and watching the joy and excitement it created helps me beat the blues because I am focused on someone else other than myself.

With the bl**dy great Club of Comedy, embedded with the huge 6" Spikes of Get Up and Go.
Beat the blues into a soggy puddle then go out and have some fun. Watching Lee Evans, Eddie Izzard or Jack Dee always does it for me.

Carlos Mencia, Chappell, and Blue Collar Comedy.. Laughter beats all. When you are laughing it's difficult to whine.
The other thing is think of others more then yourself. Get off your butt and do something for someone else at least once per day.. (Dr.'s orders!!)

I've got them at the moment, so don't worry! so I'm going down the gym, to get some oxygenated blood pumping through me!!! it always make me feel better so either get those trainers on, and run around a few streets/park or get to the local swimming baths...good luck...to much time thinking about things will make you blue!!!
