no, xmen has been out 2 months longer and superman hasnt gone global on release yet.

It grossed millions in many countries. The release of it's dvd will surely add more. Bryan Singer did a great job.

Actually, you're right about the cost, but it has grossed $317,394,683 worldwide. It is still playing in theaters, and DVD sales will be huge, and a sequel is planned for 2009. I don't consider that a flop at all.

Singer's on the "A" list and will get more big pictures to direct. Box office only suggests the popularity of the movie. As said before, the real "bankability" comes from merchandising. He didn't make a mistake--he wanted to make different movies instead of being pigeon-holed to one movie.

it took 300 mil to make?! im shocked by that amount! and not its not a flop, cause i liked it and there will be another one, which will do a lot better once they get rid of that dumb actress that played loius lane

it depends. What other marketing,like action figures and international dvd rights are there? That's where the real money is anymore.
