It's definitely fixed. You can't tell me that out of everyone in America those are the best singers. They have one person who they think can have an actual career, and then they put a bunch of losers up against them so they'll look even better.
The only true reality TV is sports. All other shows are fixed. I mean, what's up with "Fear Factor?" Aren't there any ugly people who are willing to eat bugs for money? Those are all aspiring models and actors. The "Real World" on MTV is loosely scripted.
And remember last year's running of "Last Comic Standing?" It came out later that the entire thing was fixed. How else could Dat Phan have won? He simply wasn't funny. However, I must say that this year's crop of comics on the show are pretty good. Fixed or not, that show is entertaining. I love Josh Blue!

It's fixed AND the most important part is how dumb people are that tune in just to laugh at the bad talent. Simon gets to beat up on some poor person because they can't sing. It's not just that Simon or whoever on the show is putting on an act. There is more to it. Think about it? With the thousands and thousands of people that audition they are searching for the top talent but also for the worst so they can put it on TV. They single out a person because they can't sing just so they can put them on national TV so we can all make fun of them. How hateful can you be. God must be so proud of us.
My other issue with the show is how the day after a showing the local, and national affiliate channels dedicate part of the newscast to this. This isn't news, who cares. Then to put icing on the cake the other networks news have even started to chime in about this show. I know it is popular but news? I don't think so. It reminds me of Disco. White hot popular but wait until the fall. The fans and talent will feed on each others young. Just wait. We haven't even had much scandal yet. Wait until that happens.
Beside. Paula Abdul a judge? Of what. Don't think the network executives aren't the judges of this show before hand.

Not Fixed. Witness the number of times that the Judges have been surprised at the person leaving - or staying.
Nope. Not fixed, not in this day and age. They've been investigated already as to the voting practices and there is proof positive that it's not fixed.

Of course it's fixed...It's fixed by the voting fans of mostly Teens who tend to go for a pretty face rather than actual singing ability.
That girl Paris was one of the best I've seen and she got booted off...how is that?

No - I don't think so
If so they would have got the most commercially viable person to win - Like Chris Daughtry, Bo or Constantine !

"Fixed" is a harsh word, but I do believe that there is some degree of toying with the numbers for the maximum tension to garner viewership.
