Using undiluted liquid detergent gently rub into stain, rinse off. If stain persists use a stain remover then wash as normal.
* MASCARA STAIN
Apply an oil solvent, and let dry, then remove residue. Choose an oil solvent that is a dry-cleaning fluid that can be used on greasy, oily stains.
Treat with a liquid soap, and very little water. Rub to form suds, then rinse. For stain removal, lukewarm water is best. Avoid cold or hot water, which will set the stain.
Use an eyedropper and diluted ammonia to bleach any remaining color. Rinse with cool water. For ammonia, you should dilute equal parts ammonia and water: so 1/4 cup of ammonia with 1/4 cup of water.
It's important to note that you should NOT use ammonia on non-washable fabrics, like wool, silk, or spandex, because it can corrode the material.
Mascara (and most makeup) is an oil-based stain, so you should use an oil-solvent, if you have stained a washable garment. They are available at drug stores.

Hi, try make up remover, as it wont damage your clothes coz its gentle on your face. If you have tried it and it didnt work, put neat washing powder on it with a little water and rub it round the stain, leave it for a few minutes and then wash, if it still doesnt come off use Vanish

You should try to wash it first, but then if that doesn't work, then dry clean it, and tell them to get the stain out. But if that doesn't work, then maybe makeup remover will work, but it might damage the clothes...so if none of those work, then you are most likely skrewed!

Um if it is white, bleach it, or use a pet stain remover. Pet Zhyme works best

Put a little washing up liquid on it and stick it in the washing machine, it will come out. I'm always getting it on my white towels and it always comes off, even without using the washing up liquid.

. . . have you tried 'white spirit' any hardware/diy shop sells it. I had a similar problem with a red mark, though admittedly it wasn't on my clothing and it worked for me.
Though it doesn't always work. A friend had a green mark on his and it wouldn't move it. Apparently there's a big difference between lipstick and gonorrhoea . . .

Hairspray is good to put on the stain.
It will dry and come out in the wash.
