I am confused if I am lucky or plain lost. Till date, whatever I wished for has happened.. without a major struggle. However, the things I wished for are realized after a time lag when they become an inconvenience or they are no longer relevant. And I am not really delighted that I got what I wished for say five years ago!! Am I wishing for wrong things by just following the crowd, have I lost touch with myself? What do I do to know what I really want?

you need to get back in touch with your inner self. Realize that your not always going to like what you ask for when you get it..There are many good books out there on self exploration and on how to get back in touch with your higher self so that you can think clearly about what it is you want out of life..Also when you wish for things, don't ask for them at face value.. Heres and example..Say I am a trying to get pregnant.. I don't just wish for a baby.. Instead I wish for a healthy pregnancy, a healthy baby, and wish to be a good mother to my child and have all the necessities that we will need to live happily and healthy...
I guess you just have to change your mindset, maybe center yourself and explore yourself to find what made you lose touch to begin with and make sure you don't do it anymore.

Think that you will not commit the same mistakes again. Be clear of what you want for the next 5 to 10 years and chalk out a plan for each and every year what you are going to do.
There must be a review each year of what you have achieved and how the next year is to be. You have spoken about long term events as not materialising as you had wished. The above is the solution but most important is don't compare yourself with someone else and what they have got during this period. Because it is your plan, and what you have planned when you have achieved, that is the win-win situation.

Well we change and that's why things are no longer relevant. Why follow the crowd? That's boring. I think what's going on here is you are getting in touch with yourself and that is good. And you are not alone, this happens to all of us, so stop feeling unique. Be honest with yourself and ask if it's really what you want. Just enjoy life.

*shrug* Sometimes it's all about the journey and not the destination.

Make a list. Think long and hard about it and work on it over the course of several days. Then prioritize the list in order of importance.

Perhaps your just maturing at a faster rate than your wishes come to fruition. It definitely sounds like a reassessment of your goals is in order. Good luck!

Maybe the question should be why do all my wishes come true at all. Do you realize that life is much more of a struggle for most of us? I don't get all my wishes fulfilled. Be glad you're not facing worse problems.

Don't follow the crowd and you won't be wishing for things. Make your own path through life with more of what you need and less of what you want and you will not be as dissatisfied. Good luck!

You're lucky - I mean, you are probably generaly happy with yourself, you don't dred things, that's why they come so easy for you. It is a good thing, even sometimes we regret what we wished for. Just try to acknowlage this is happening to you and focus more on bigger positive outcome of your life then on exact details - you won't be that disappointed then. But it IS good, belive me. And you definitely not lost touch with yourself, you're just not that much aware of it. Good luck!

That's where the saying, "Be Careful What You Wish For!" comes from!

God likes a good laugh - he plays tricks on his humans.

God will wait until whatever you wished for is not relevant - then God will give it to you - that way, God can say "I gave you what you wished for" when you die and not feel any guilt about it.
