If you owe income taxes the IRS can legally Seize any and ALL personal property to satisfy the debt. It sucks...but the only way to get this stopped is to make a deal with them and start making payments till you have them paid off. If possible, take out a loan from a bank to pay off the IRS. They are really scummy people to deal with. You want them out of your life as quickly as possible. Good Luck and get a good tax attorney quickly!

I've never heard of them , ever taking someones car, unless its Repod, by the lot......The IRS, usually looks to see if you owe them 1st, then, if you owe back child-support, before you, get your actual refund, then, if there's anything left over, after those deductions, you receive whats left...... I would pay them a call, and directly ask them, why this happened, because, it may not have been them at all!! Just to be sure, I'd call and ask whats going on, you know. Good-Luck, to you!!!

If you owe back taxes, the IRS can take anything that you have that has value, and sell it. The monies from such a sale is them applied to the amount that you owe!!
