Looking for free images and clipart to use on cafepress.com ... absolutely rubbish creating images but not bad photoshopping them. In the field of Harry Potter, fantasy etc.

Thats really hard. Most clipart will allow certain uses but not for you to make things to sell. Also, Harry Potter will create a whole new problem for you. Id recommend asking on the CafePress forums which will get you a ton of answers.

I made a shirt saying that I was interested in peoples doodles, scribbles, graffitti. Then I buy their stuff. Some high school kid will sell you the complete rights to a great design for a mcdonalds burger.

my husband and i started a business this year and tried fo days to find free clip art we could use on our business cards and yellow pages ads. we had no luck - when we tried to print them off, the image is distorted.
when i went to order the business cards, they had tons of clip art there, free to use when you order from them
i'm no expert, just wanted to share our experience
