in some ways, it already is... but israel will NEVER accept it. They're a free country, and want to stay that way.

I'm glad you added that part about being French! As a 54 year old American I don't feel we and they are not all that close in many ways. Because of some religious issues and WWII our government supports their quest for their own state.
France and the United States have this love hate relationship don't we? A lot like an old married couple!

Yes, it is possible for the USA to make Israel one of its new states...if it could overcome both Israelite and Middle-Eastern Muslim indignation over such an act.
But even so, it wouldn't be a good idea for USA. Main reasons? Israelite and Muslim indignation, and the oil.

Israel is an independent nation and I do not think most Israels wish to become a U.S. State.

If the Nation of Iseral requested to Join the US, I would have no prombem with it becoming a state.
I would not agree with the US taking over as a military state. WHich we wouldn't do becouse we are Allies.

TO JESSI - what about alaska and hawaii they are not in the US. Alaska is in Canada and Hawaii is in the middle of the ocean

No country should become another state of the U.S. Each country is it's own independent unit and should remain so.

It won't happen. Israel wants to be it's own independant nation.
Being french is nothing to brag about.

If we're looking for a 51st state we should annex Mexico first. It IS connected, at least. Hehehe---most of their citizens are HERE anyway.
Maybe France should annex them.
