it states "read only cd" or something like that. im using Roxio drag-to-disc. after getting that msg i wont be able to transfer files anymore, plus when i tried to view the CD's content, i can't open it. w/c means the cd-r is totally ruined! i format my cd-r(s) b4 transfering files. i wont get any error msg if i use cd-rw. but i was told cd-rw wont play on standard cd player., thus im using cd-r. help pls....

you're probably using too fast of a write speed. i remember one time i used to fast of a write speed for my disc, and i ruined about 10. look on the disc you're trying to copy to and see the maximum speed, and then change the speed in the program your using to a number a little below that.

You get the 'read only cd' message when your cd has been closed.

While creating your cd, do NOT close the cd. You can close the session. Roxio gives you options --- make sure you choose the right one.

make sure there are no songs on it and make sure its in the right cd thingy
