All now know the kind of garbage they pull all the time with lies and cover ups, yet majority of Americans sit back and do nothing.
Clinton got his knuckles smacked over personal relationship issues, yet Bush is starting wars, killing our kids, Iraqi males, females, and babies, and most of you Americans do noting.
What is everyone waiting for, the next War to start before they do something?

So apparently alot of you do not know about the 700 + laws he has twisted, ignored and thrown out, that were written to stop ONE SINGLE person from abusing power.
But thats ok, hes the president, he is protecting us, BLAH.
Hes setting in motion a future that we are all going to regret, and I am sorry to say, I am not a liberal, nor do I belong to any group. I believe in freedom, and with the worlds view on the USA, since Bush has been in office, I would say that the world is right, and Americans are just blind to the dictatorship (changing and interpreting laws to his liking is a dictatorship, not a democracy).
All the documents, laws and things he has done, that no one cares to see, are free and available at the Library of Congress.
Wake up ya all, or we wont have a cushy life to come back to.

thank you to those not blinded by the Bush propaganda machine called terrorism.
Terrorism was thought up to control people to run to the government and say protect me. You give up rights to be protected by a farce.
And to the one whos talking about me going to Iraq to take up arms, maybe you should talk to most military men and women that have come home blinded, limbless, utterly changed forever how they are or have been instructed to shoot ALL MALE Iraqis.
You only see have the story people, and you follow it like word of God. Just investigate and dig for yourself, and see how much adds up.
I want my kid to grow up in peace, not in War over BS.
My brother is in iraq, he also knows of the orders and what is going on over there that many are blinded to see.
How many of these military men and women on the front line do you all think wants to be there?
Maybe you should ask them why!!!

Thank you for asking this question, thanks Maniac for your thorough and astute answer! I agree with the immense pressure Americans have been placed under not to speak up, that impeachment is necessary to save the integrity of American democracy and face in the global arena. The outcome of these years under the iron fist of the Rove/Bush administration will have long reaching and devastating consequences for decades to come.
God help us!
I have posted a similar question in the Politics section. Would anyone care to check it out. Looking for answers and people with the courage to go deep.

Most do nothing, because they are too gutless or clueless. The only reason Clinton was impeached was because the neocons, (who are now in power) had enough resources at their disposal and a majority in the house to be able to impeach. It had NOTHING to do with the american public.
40% of americans hate Bush, 20% Love Bush and the other 30% couldn't give a ratsass eitherway, so long as they can have a cold beer and watch the football, they are not going to take an interest.
So, only the elite can oust the elite, because there is too much apathy and too many Americans believe what they see on FOX news. (and that really IS scary) FOX news could not tell the truth if the world depended upon it.
Bush has lied to congress, the American people and the world and started wars based on those lies. The American people find it easier to hide behind delusions or just not face facts.
because facing up to those facts would mean that they personally would have to do something about it. to stay congruous to their own beliefs in justice and fair play, they would have to admit that they are supporting the wrong people, supporting evil and pre-emptive murder and actually get up off their *** and DO something and that might be dangerous for them. they might actually have to display some courage, something that is in very short supply in the average American these days.
The founding fathers will be spinning in their graves watching the america of today fall to murderous traitors in the form of the neo-cons.

Wow, you democrats can whine, and I'm not just speaking of the asker of this question, because he/she apparently is not a democrat. But anyway, you democrats had a great oppurtunity to take back the White House in 2004, and what do you do? Blow it by putting up some pu$$y like John Kerry. It was a very close election because everyone was against Bush. Even still, the Democrats managed to suck it up once again. I'll say this for the Republicans, at least they can organize and get someone voted into office. Of course the democrats will say, "What about Clinton?" Clinton was easy, he was so charismatic, and energizing, he could've been a freaking socialist and probably would have been voted in. Just lucky he was a democrat I guess. But before that it was 12 years of republicans and post it has been 8. Please tell me you are going to run up Hillary Clinton in the next election so you can ***** for four more years. Because we all know that democrats are good at b!tching. Oh by the way, I can't stand Bush either, but he's the man with the job and he isn't going anywhere, so either put up with it for two more years, run a good candidate and win the damn thing back or move to Canada. Either way I would satisfied because your whining is a little deflating.

Most people are tied up running their lives, raising kids, making a living. Bush (Rove) has successfully tied making money to supporting Bush. This goes for the media as well. If you crunch the numbers most people don't want to look at the blind spot, (you think something might be there (extreme abuse) but if you don't look you won't see it) Once you overcome the fear of looking in to the blind spot and finding our for yourself what the hell is going on, then you should be doing what you can to save our country. This Administration must be exposed for everyone to see or Americas days are numbered. For if they get away with it our future will be out of the voters hands.
I think Manic has got it, for the most part.

The average person in the US doesnt vote. Even when we do vote, our vote doesnt count. The ratio of rich to poor is growing. The world view of the US is that we are all fat and rich and it's not true. Many people struggle from paycheck to paycheck or work two jobs. Some of us are just exhausted from day to day living. I have voted but my vote doesnt count, Bush and the Republicans get into office even though they werent elected. I've protested, written to my representatives, called my representatives. No one listens, the only ones with power are the large corporations that run this country and feed the media with lies that people swallow. I cannot stand what is happening in Iraq, I dont know what else to do. Sometimes I cant sleep when I think about it. I dont know any average people who support this war.

You bleeding heart sissies make me sick.
First of all, I challenge you to actually PROVE these "lies" and "cover-ups"... You can't. You can offer circumstantial evidence and nothing more. Nothing valid enough to even allow for an actual impeachment to legally take place anyway which renders your entire question utterly pointless.
More importantly though, you can't impeach a President for going to war. Whether you think the war in Iraq is justified or not, it's well within the rights of the President as long as he gets the approval of Congress, which he did.
As for Iraqi males, femals and babies... Some of them are enemy fighters firstly and secondly, many innocents are being used as human shields by these Iraqi terrorists as well.
If you feel so strongly about it though, head over to Iraq and take up arms with the militants. One less bleeding heart pansy is good for us all...

In essence, there aren't enough votes to pull it off. In Congress, or in public opinion. The congress one is self-explanatory, there just aren't enough votes there.
In public opinion, nearly 75% disagree with the president's tactics. But not all disagree enough. There are plenty (probably near 50%) that would want him gone right now. But there are those who disagree but feel that Bush can still turn himself around if enough pressure were put on him (why they think that you got me, he has shown he will not change). And there are too many of those to ensure that the public majority will support an impeachment trial. So congress is attempting to stay out of it until they know for certain they'll still have the votes again in two years when they are up for reelection.

It's quite amazing how complacent and compliant people have become. We are forever held hostage to the Terrorist Threat, particularly when something isn't going well for the administration.
You are correct about Clinton. Also, look at Nixon. We did not put up with abuse of power then. Why now? Skirting the law when it is convenient. Challenges to governmental behavior turn into questioning one's patriotism.
Given what Clinton was impeached for, there are certainly conditions for impeachment in this administration.

I don't suppose that impeaching Bush might regain global repect closer to the United States. For starters, if we impeach President Bush, our Vice-President, who's the from the equal political social gathering might grow to be our president. If Dick Cheney turns into president, he might generally do the equal stuff that George W. Bush is doing. Thus we might now not acquire global appreciate. I notice that our govt is spending alot of cash in this warfare. I do recognize that this cash is generally simply going to waste as I do not see Iraq getting higher. However, impeaching a president is highly-priced. So, are we any higher off spending cash to take our president to courtroom. Plus, if we spend this cash to question our president, that does not imply he's going to be kicked out of workplace. To impeach a president simply approach to deliver expenditures towards him. That does not imply he's going to routinely get kicked out of workplace. Congress then votes to both kick him out or to not. An instance: President Clinton was once certainly impeached, however he did not get kicked out of workplace. In end, I do not suppose impeaching President George W. Bush might acquire us global appreciate for the reason that we will be able to nonetheless be invovled in global clash. I simply do not suppose this might be the proper factor to do. In 2 years, we will be able to be getting yet another president in any case.

George is a WAR president, Americans love war. Clinton was a WHORE monger-er. Americans hate sex.
