I looked at your history to discover what you were referring to. For the benefit of others who wish to answer she's referring to SMOKING.
No the cravings don't get any better. I have never been a regular smoker only ever very occasionally on a social basis (when very drunk). However, I still crave cigarettes even though I haven't had one for seven months and when I did smoke I would only have one cigarette every three months. It's a very addictive drug. As addictive as heroin so I can imagine how much you must want a cigarette.
What you need is a motivator that stops you having one even when you want one really badly. My motivator was seeing my grandad ill after chemotherapy for lung cancer. Seeing someone you love so ill changes the way you see life and makes you want to take responsibility for yourself and take control.
Give up smoking forever.

IF THEY DIDNT THEN WE WOULD ALL BE IN TROUBLE. of course they do. Someone VERY close to me had a BAD addiction to something and it took alot of hard time and effort to get rid of her habbit. however that is the first part, the second is the cravings and not going back to your habbit.
to kick your cravings you got to want to do what ever your giving up for yourself and not anyone else. other wise it wont work. if what ever your giving up is around you constantly, you HAVE to break away from it and NEVER go around what it is until you have atleast 6 months under your belt! DO you understand this. all your hard work will be undone if you mix yourself with what your are trying to avoid. no matter what you tell yourself, you will find yourself back ther if your still getting cravings.
when the cravings stop, and they turn into thoughts of the past, thats when you can relax and make sure you praise yourself everyday you stay clear of what you are craving (presuming its bad for you and you dont want it in your life). remember, life is what you make it, so dont go down the wrong road, and to find out what the wrong road is, just askyourself, and you know what you will need to do. gudluck and takecare.
