i have two kids afther i had my son i had post partumedpression and my son today is still here and healthy

i think she should be in jail. everybody who kills is insane and she can't use it as an excuse

Yeah, that's creepy - killed all 5 of her kids, no less. I was told by someone that staying at a mental hospital for criminals was just like jail... So, as long as she's not out there walking the streets.

I've never had post partum depression, but I did have depression once. I actually went out and got HELP. Took meds for a few months and now I'm fine. I didn't kill anyone! Though in light of this situation, maybe I should have... looks like I really would have gotten away with it...

Insanity is considered one of the toughest defenses to sell to a jury, there are a lot of technical evidence and medical requirements to get the evidence before a Jury. So if the jury bought it, there must have been some strong evidence that she was mentally incapable of coping with reality. It was a horrible crime, if she had been sane it would have required severe punishment, but as a mental issue, she will be held until she is deemed cured, and safe.

The legal defenition of insane is not knowing your actions are wrong at the time of the crime. But she did everything she could to avoid killing them with her husband home, and then she called the police to confess, saying she did "something bad."

She's just evil, its as simple as that.

MAN THAT WOMAN IS HOT OFF HER ROCKER.... SHE SHOULD BE IN SOLITARY CONFINEMENT FOR THE REST OF HER LIFE OR FRIED. THERE IS NO EXPLANATION FOR DROWNING HER 5 CHILDREN.... FOR HER SAKE OR HEAVENS SAKE. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. AND ANY JURY THAT FINDS HER NOT GUILTY SHOULD GO TO HELL.
