How to connect PC with PDA using wi-fi without using wireless router? is router necessary for Wi-Fi connection. I hope, wireless adapter on both would be sufficient. If anyone could provide step by step instruction on this, that would be helpful.

you can connect them using "adhoc" mode. i can't give you step-by-step instructions because i don't know what you have for a pda and pc. even then, you're probably just going to have to work it out for itself. but you need to enable both wifi adapters for adhoc mode and make sure that they have correct addressing information.
