The organization tried to blame it on the fact that Brown violated team policy when he pulled his car over to answer reporters questions. (outside of a practice facility in westchester, i believe).
Apparently, James Dolan is sick of losing and wants quick results. Brown's inability and/or refusal to handle Isiah's players quickened his demise. In the NBA, the player almost always stays and the feuding coach leaves. Case in point, A. Iverson and Brown, Kobe and Phil. Knicks players (MARBURY) didn't seem to really buy defense first (Brown's concept) and wanted a freer flowing game. Brown also made some questionable choices- (why sit David Lee down when he's helping with a winning streak).

Ultimately, it is obvious that the current Knicks players (who were assembled by Isiah before Brown was consulted largely) aren't moveable because of monster contracts. Brown, unwilling to coach the way they want him to coach had to then go.

sorry for the length.

Isiah is a bum.

Because they had to do something. Besides, Isaiah probably wants to coach the team. Good luck to him...
