This year will be my first year teaching, and I just graduated from an accredited university. I would like tips from seasoned teachers about how the first week will go, things to expect the first year, and maybe some great websites for teacher use and student use. I'm just a bit nervous, but I want to get all the information I can so I can do my best!

a good site: enchantedlearning.com it has EVERYTHING. It is free, but if you want to pay you have access to more material. Tips: practice your "voice" for the little guys they need excitement and it is so easy to be monotoned. Be clear about the rules the first day and for the first week review them everyday. Create a routine and keep it! There has to be consistency. The kids really like it when they have jobs. (line leader, paper collecter, etc) Wear fun, bright colors. During the first week do a lot of activities so everyone gets to know eachother. Explain what you will be doing throughout the year. I believe the most important things are to be creative, have fun, be consistent. Good luck
