Could it be plattelettes? Or iron?
(I'm no medical expert.. NOT AT ALL)
But could this not be anemia? Ask for a blood test and have them count platelets.
Then eat well and exercise.. no matter how unhungry you are, get the basic nutrients

its worth a shot to listen to the doctor. i've had depression, my mom will always be on medication for hers and the symptoms you've described sound just like depression. but you can also see if its a sleep disorder, that would explain the fatigue and dizziness and the dizziness could be causing the nasousness and appetite loss which would cause the headaches... but i would humor the doctor for about 2 weeks, if you dont see improvement by then (and you have to take the meds EVERY day) then go back and tell them. you'll know when you're feeling better.

I am not too sure if you are able to but I would suggest getting a second or third opinion. You may even want to try a naturopathic doctor. My experience with most doctors is unless you are in a serious health crisis they do not have the time or interest to dig further. You should keep a journal with the amount of time that you sleep and whether you feel rested or not, symptoms, etc. If you are not sleeping well you can become "depressed". Good luck.

It could be something like bad sleeping pattern,or just not exercising.Might be something more serious like diabetes.Hard to say with no way to check you out and just a basic description.Your best bet is to go to a doctor, because no one here is going to be able to help you with so little to go on

May want to take a look in a much different direction, than depression. There is a suggestion presented which indicates a dramatic change in the ability to assimilate nutrients.
Dizzyness and headache are not necessarily associated with depression.. it does indicate there is a physical problem in the upper neck involving several of the nerves of the autonomic nervous system. Setting up a highly advancing inflamatory process. This would account for the following symptoms; dizzyness, headache, nausea, as well as several symptoms you have not mentioned. Bright lights are becoming difficult to take; heart rate seems to be increasing; breathing is more shallow; elimination has become involved to some degree; balance has become precarious; ringing in one or both ears;on and on.. We are now talking about a syndrome (multiple symptoms). Depression becoming only one of the symptoms, should depression actually be involved.
There is no indication of how long this problem has been present..

HE PUT YOU ON ANTI-DEPPRESANTS? FOR THAT?
Unless you absolutely know what the problem is, DO NOT take the anti-deppresants. They killed my grandma, because she had bipolar and after she took the drugs the problem got worse until she gassed herself. The drugs will do more harm than good.
My Grandfather (the one who lost his wife) developed a multivitamin supplement to treat mental illness, and it has an 80% success rate, as opposed to the average 30% of most anti-psychotics. My mom now takes it. She used to be in the Psych-ward on 24/7 suicide watch. She's fine now. She wrote a book on her illness and recovery. http://www.thesepaintedwings.com
The supplement's website is http://www.truehope.com. Talk to a support person, and they'll tell you about the supplement and how to get started.
If it's not deppression, see a Homeopathic Practitioner, they can cure most problems without drugs.
Good Luck

Hey. Get a TSH test done on your thyroids, make sure your sugar levels are okay for diabetes, check with your gyno and ask questions if youre on the pill and if you arent, maybe you should get on some sort of oral contraceptive. Also, check your iron to see if youre anemic. There are a ton of side affects from antidepressants and being in your situation before, its best to stay away from them and check out the things listed above.
Thanks and good luck.

If you are serious about losing weight, the calories in the food you eat should be less than the energy you use. You will have to increase your metabolic rate now, and plan your diet carefully.
Formulate your own weight loss plan and you will lose weight faster. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/m7ckx

Bloody hell - what you just mentioned is the exact same as my symptoms before I eventually got diagnosed with Coeliac Disease/Gluten Intolerance. Took FOREVER before a doctor finally came up with it - but since then I have been a different person!! Suggest this to your doctor - give it a trial for 3 months of your life by following a gluten free diet. You may hate the thought of it - but if you start to feel like wonder woman - you wont look back!!!!!!!!!!!! Take it from me. I felt sick/tired/dizzy/migrainey/CRAP for most of my life. Started this shocker of a diet - GLUTEN FREE - but I tell you - I am a different person today. Just try it - see your doctor about it all first then give it your best shot. I found it was the kick up the butt that my body needed...
BUT - I still haven't found the absolute cure for my depression as yet. But my body is thanking me for excluding that bloody gluten that has been poisoning it for many years!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck.
