Is the battery Dead? Just because the lights come on in the car doesn't mean the battery is good. With all this heat it could be your battery. Check it first.
Do you need a new started.

Could be...
Your battery.
Your starter.
Your alternator: for not charging the battery.
Shot spark plugs and/or wires.
Broken ignition coils or cap/rotor.
Ignition module/control unit.
Your engine could be dead.
...basically it could be just about everything in your car.
