You're 100% RIGHT. It really pisses me off- yeah they offer this GREAT DEAL and you probably get less than you had before-especially since they keep on changing the number of channels available to you. The only reason I'm keeping mine is because I have a bundled deal and my high-speed internet is awesome- otherwise I'd go to satellite. I do keep on complaining to them. I think if enough people do, things may change; they will probably lose more and more customers- maybe they should be investigated by the Attorney General!

You are confusing OnDemand with your digital package.
The digital package adds your extra channels, usually all of the channels from 100 to 999. The pay channels usually fall into the 300s and 400s. In my area, the 500s are local duplicates. In addition to the digital television, there are the digital audio channels (900s).
Your OnDemand is actually above 1000. The first few are pay-per-view movies, but after that are the OnDemand channels which you select from you onscreen menu, using you remote.

We have the On Demand that comes with the package you get, so if you get Hbo you get an HBO on demand, and its free to use, because its old movies they are playing anyway. I like using it because I can watch movies that I want, when I want.
I do know some cable companies do charge extra for the ondemand stations that do charge to play the same old stuff, I would def. look into getting another provider if possible.
