ok, so since i screwed up my birth control my period is late. i am pretty confident i am not pregnant because I am having all my typical PMS symptoms. My problem is I leave for camping on Friday and I don't want to be on my period for camping. At the same time I don't want to totally mess up my cycle. someone told me that if i start the pill the day my period starts that usually makes your period stop. is that true? any other suggestions or am i destined to be on my period while camping?

It's no problem at all to start your pill cycle while you are bleeding. Many people safely stop their periods by continually taking low-dose pills (no week off).
You will not cause any harm to yourself. You may still spot (bleed a little) and may bloat a bit.
Take your pills, maybe your will avoid the period, but take some 'supplies' just in case

I don't know...I"ve never heard that your period stops when you start a new batch of pills. I would take the pill on time...if you take it earlier, you run the risk of messing up your cycle more.
