since are you subtracting percentage instead of adding percentage, you use (1 - (p/100)) instead of (1 + (p/100))
P(1 + (p/100)) is used to find the price of something after tax
P(1 - (p/100)) is used to find the price of something after discount
so (1 - (20/100)) = 1 - (1/5) = 1 - .2 = .8
68.5 * .8 = $54.80
45.5 * .8 = $36.40
Thats not including the tax, only the discount.
