Wow, someone else who I consider as stupid. At least this is probably homework, and you are in 6th grade. Anything else, and it's just sad.

1. Get your calculator.
2. Punch in 68.50 x .20 and hit =
3. Answer to first question.

4. Repeat for #2.

since are you subtracting percentage instead of adding percentage, you use (1 - (p/100)) instead of (1 + (p/100))

P(1 + (p/100)) is used to find the price of something after tax
P(1 - (p/100)) is used to find the price of something after discount

so (1 - (20/100)) = 1 - (1/5) = 1 - .2 = .8

68.5 * .8 = $54.80
45.5 * .8 = $36.40

Thats not including the tax, only the discount.

0.8*68.5 = $54.80
0.8*45.5 = $36.40

It would be 13.70 off of 68.50 and 9.10 off of 45.50
