People always say "wow, that's the greatest thing since sliced bread!!". So my question is, what was the greatest thing BEFORE sliced bread? And what is your opinion on thinking sliced bread is the greatest??

Sliced bread is pretty good stuff. Tasty and handy. Before sliced bread became the greatest thing, the greatest thing may have been dinosaur wings with hot sauce, or the wheel or something, I imagine.

sliced bread is pretty grand. running water is great. indoor plumbing too is great. greatest thing since before sliced bread is clothing. i wouldn't want to be naked all day

soap.. slice bread is on the table of almost everyone we cannot live without bread... and to have it sliced it is like heaven on earth is is just like cleaning oneself with the soap.. thanks for the genius that created slice bread .. amen
