How is Barbossa and the Monkey alive i think i figured it out!!!!!?

ok now i've posted this before but i want to try and make sure everyone gets to see it cause i think im going somewhere with this

OK stay with me here i think i figured out how the monkey and captain barbosa r still alive. Ok well i just got done watching the 1st one and for some strange reason desided to watch the after credit stuff which i've never seen well after the credits it shows the monkey in normal form walking across the treasure chest with all the madallions in it and barbosa lying dead well the monkey climbs onto the chest and takes out one of the madallions and turns into a skelotol monkey. so there for wouldnt that kind of bring back the curse cause remeber they need all the madallions in order for it to work. and in the second one we see barbosa's boot breifly at Tia Dalmas house so she could've brought barbosa back to life! ok let me know if u think im way off ok i think i might be going somewhere with this.

The monkey is the only one who is still cursed and Tia Dalmas is waiting for the monkey. I imagine she somehow needs the monkey to revive Cpt Barbossa, that is why Cpt Jack Sparrow is confident that she would trade the information of Davy Jones and the location of the Flying Dutchman for the monkey. I also imagine that Cpt Barbossa revival is temporary. With the crew of the black pearl agreed to look for Jack, he is to be revive to help them and in return he will need to give his life to Jack Sparrow where they would find him at the 'world's end' (a pugartory in Davy Jones' Locker). We all know that Jack survive because Johnny Depp is the star of the 3rd film.

To answer the question I think you have got it all figured out.

In response to souer-duex. You obviously have not watched the movie closely as you have told other to. Of course we all saw Jack take a gold piece. We all also saw that Jack was cursed while fighting Barbosa in the cave. Jack took the piece bacuase he knew in fighting Barbosa he could be killed and with the gold piece he wouldn't die. You then see him throw the piece to Will and Will cut his hand and put it back in with the rest of the piece. This lifts th curse then Jack shoots Barbosa. If you are going to tell people to watch the movie more closely you should have all you facts straight.
Also the name is Kiera Nightly. (not sure on the spelling but I am sure it's not kinsley)
I believe she is right about the monkey thing. The monkey was Barbosas so when it stole a piece that made them both cursed.

in response to LK7485 i think the reason will and elizabeth were not cursed is because they were not members of the crew and she never put that the monkey taking the medallion lifted the curse from everyone. it could've just lifted the curse from the monkey that is why the monkey is still alive. and regards to cpt. barbosa he could not have the curse any more and tia dalma could've brought him back to life and that is why he is eating the fruit. so in other words the monkey could very well be the only one who still contains the curse.

So I have a question. I know the monkey is cursed from all the times Capt. Jack Sparrow shot him ("Look" he shoots it "an un-dead monkey!"), and since Barbosa's injury was obviously fatal, then the monkey retrieved a medallion for him? I thought, in order for the curse to work, you yourself had to take the gold from the chest. But, now that I think of it, the whole crew probably didn't take one or two peices from the chest. So whoever is in possesion of the medallion is cursed? That can't be either, since neither Will nor Elizabeth were cursed when they had Bootstrap's peice. Hmm...

I have one problem with this theory... if he is indeed alive because the monkey took the coin out of the chest, then I doubt if he would be eating an apple in the end of the 2nd film- remember, I believe Barbossa said that food turned to "ash in his mouth", and that was why he never could eat or drink... it was part of the curse. So if he was alive because of the curse, I don't think he would be eating the apple- but then again, it could just be a mistake on the part of the filmmakers (though I doubt that).

Here's my theory:

Before Barbosa died or what ever, he put a piece of his soul in the monkey. The voodo lady later on wanted the monkey because she knew it had his soul in it. And on second thought, maybe when Jack the monkey went to Barbosa's boots he got his soul in him and he was the only one who could get it. While the crew was away on their voyage, she revived Barbosa.

Your right on the first half, you are meant to think Barbossas' dead just because you see him lying there, but what if he was "dying" when the monkey picked up the Gold piece, he would of course be raised again whole and alive. I'm glad to see someone else has caught on to this.

NO because they were all cursed when they took that gold. If you really watch the movie. The missing piece is with Keira Kingsley. Of course Will Turners gold piece. When they go to put it in and cut her and then have Will if you look real close Johnny Depp(Jack Sparrow takes a gold piece and pockets it)

It isn't nice to put a spoiler in a question like that. I've seen the movie, but if I hadn't, I'd be pretty sad. Because for me, seeing Barbossa was a great surprise. I'd hate to have it ruined.
