Zidane butted Materazzi in the chest after Materazzi allegedly called his mother rude names ... Where on earth have you been? No-one in Europe (and maybe the rest of the world) could fail to know what happened, when it happened and what the aftermath was ... Zidane is now doing "community service" for FIFA as a penance - he retired from international football (again!) and so couldn't really be banned - and Materazzi has to serve a 2 match ban I think for his part. Both players were fined an insignificant amount of money given that they earn more in a week than normal people do in a year or more.

Yes, Zidane used his head to hit Materazzi in the stomach and I know because I saw the game.

Yes its true. I saw the match and head butt, it was cruel but apparently Zidane did it because Materazzi was being offensive to his mother- this was confirmed by a professional lip reader.

well-duh! Where have u been? Materazzi actually was calling Zidane s mother -well-bad stuff! REally bad! I got the inside scoop and it s really bad! Anyway- his mom is in the hospital,too so... MAterazzi deserves it!

Yes he did give him a headbutt in the chest, it ended 0-0 after extra time and Italy went on to win 5-4 on penalties. Trezeguet missed. Well done Italy!

no it's not true, i was there and i actually saw materazzi run at zidane, zidane lowered his head to protect himself (as you do) and materazzi stumbled and fell into zidanes head....... whoops - poor things!
