Tsilivi is a beautiful town and a deffinate must see! Also Kalamaki has a nice beach and in season you can see the turtles. Steer clear of Laganas if you hate Blackpool (full of British, pubs and cafes).
Also go into Zante town and visit the old fort on top of the hill, you get some great views of Zante from there. Do look at the excursions you can go on. I would highly recommend a boat trip around the blue caves, the shipwreck and if you like history take a day trip to Olympia (the site of the first olympic games) its well worth the money, you even get a guide taking you around and telling you the history.
If possible hire a car, its the best way to see the island and its beautiful beaches!

Be sure you do a boat tour to see the sea turtles. The tour should also include the pirate's cove, and possibly swimming. Its definitely a must-see. It shouldn't cost more than 30 euros for an all day trip, and there are tons of travel agents all over the island, so you likely won't have to arrange the tour til you get there. Enjoy!

Snakes are probable the main threatening - I bear in mind one 300 and sixty 5 days going (back interior the 90s) and Zakynthos had a brilliant subject with rats - in step with probability that's regarded after now. it s not a big island, but you should hire a car,this will make thing lot easier..you MUST see the shipwreck and go to keri and faros keriou..it s the best island ever,enjoy your staying

prices where very good last year .sorry only went to beach. or stayed round pool ///
