wear what is comfortable for you. you gotta think, your vaginal area is gonna be sore so do you want something squeezing that area, and if you do wear jeans have them very lose. you don't have to look like a bum coming out of the hospital but you don't need to look like you are going to the club, you need something that says new mom and proud.

You'll want something loose and stretchy. Your pre-pregnancy jeans will most likely not fit right yet. And you may feel like you got run over by a truck! Your bottom may very well be sore and you won't want anything tight. Sweats or some other stretchy pants will probably be best. Be sure to pick a top that will give you easy access for breastfeeding as well!

my hospital gave us a list of what to bring....
one of the items was a change of clothes for leaving the hospital. they said to bring a set of clothes that you wore when you were about 5 months. i guess that's about the size you go back to after delivery.
i would wear sweats, too b/c by talking to lots of moms....you will be really sore and tender and won't want to wear anything confining.
take care!

I wore jeans and a tshirt home, after I had my son. Wear whatever you're comfortable in. I was pretty lucky and didn't have the huge post pregnancy belly. Mine went down fairly quick so i didnt need anything huge. But wear something that you find very comfortable. Then go home and relax and enjoy your new little one! Congrats and best of luck!

You wear whatever you feel like wearing, there are no rules to what you are suppose to wear when leaving the hospital after having a baby.

You won't want to wear jeans. Your best bet is very baggy sweats. You will have room to move about, and still have everything covered.

if you are lucky to fit into your old clothes use them otherwise maternity clothes. Is this your first child? It seems like it is. When I had my first daughter I wanted to leave the hospital in style...five kids later I just want to be comfortable. joggers work best for me.

Well jeans are going to irratate you especially if you have stitches. PLus you are going to be bleeding like you never bleed before so you stomach will be swollen. They have those cute pants that are stetchy. I would do that..that is what I am doing. good luck
