One of the best programmes I've seen in ages - 'Cutting Edge' documentary on Channel 4. The makers had tracked down 20 married couples selected from the 'announcements' page of a 1980 Brighton newspaper, to interview them about how their married lives had turned out.

Of the 20 couples 12 were still married; one of the husbands had died from CJD. There were a total of 24 children, including one with Down's syndrome - way below the national average of 2.2 per couple.

One of the things which really moved me was that a husband said with hindsight he wasnt sure if he had been in love when he married his wife, but certainly was now - that their love had grown stronger down the years.

Fantastic feel good TV - when I say feel good my wife & I were both in tears!!

TV at its best.

There was NOTHING on last night! I ended up watching reruns of Law & Order SVU...hate it when there is nothing that I like on, especially since it seems they cram ALL the stuff I like on the same night during the week!

The Closer, and then John Edwards. After that I started watching X files, but fell asleep.
