The last report that I heard is that he has turned over the running of Cuba to his younger brother Raul, because Fidel has to undergo surgery to repair intestinal bleeding. It has caused a lot of speculation because Fidel turns 80 years old very soon, so many people are beginning to wonder how long he will live, and even if he lives, how long he will be able to hold on to power in Cuba.

A rumor is a rumor until it can be proven. Most likely he's still alive and just went in for surgery as the news says and that radio show is just talk because their business is to gossip and get people to listen in. If anyone here says yes, then would you believe them anyway?

Last I heard he was in the hospital and not doing well. He had turned his power over to his brother. I heard he was bleeding internally (Castro). That was the last I heard, but there is a lot of speculation on if he has died since that last report, or if he hasn't, how long before he does.

last night on the news he was alive and announcing he was giving over his powers to his brother for he feels he can not run the country well anymore from his sickness

He gave his power to his brother b/c he had to undergo treatments for his instestinal bleeding. But I never heard he was dead... He might have...

No he went into surgery yesterday but recovered ok.....

They did surgery to remove a gerbil from his intestines. The gerbil didn't survive.....
