There is a REALLY good chance. I had twins and they were born at thirty-five weeks and both of them were just fine. My daughter didn't even need to stay in the hospital longer she got to go home right away. My son stayed a little bit longer but it had nothing to do with him being born too early. My daughter weighed 5lbs 13 oz and my son weighed in at 5lbs 12 oz. And thats pretty good fro twins anyway. I think if I would've only had one in there it would've been a normal sized baby. Of course it's better to wait as long as possible but the baby should be fine. That doesn't sound early to me at all.

With technology today, a baby born at 36 weeks has a pretty good chance of surviving and having a 'successful' life.

My little sister was born at 31 weeks she weighed 4 pounds now she is 22 and is a college student. So I don't think you will have anything to worry about I know alot of people who have had a baby at 36 weeks or earlier and they are all fine.

Babies can be born very early and survive with no problems - that's why they are trying to lower the legal abortion limit because they have a greater chance of survival with today's medical care. At 36 weeks a baby has an excellent chance of survival - it's only 4 weeks before its due date and as long as they are cared for in neo-natal, it should be fine.

My third grandson was born a few weeks ago at just 26 weeks and will be home next week, so 36 weeks should be no problem at all.

very high!! if the lungs are at a normal development then 36 weeks is as good a time as any. on average nowadays 40% of children who are born at 26 weeks survive so ten weeks later your laughing!
