I have a new Mac PowerBook I was just wondering if I put a filesharing network(Limewire)will it give me virus'

Will Limewire give me trojans, addware, spyware...etc. or even any type of virus, remember I have a Mac, and they say Mac doesn't have virus' in their network. Just give me some info, Thanks.
