Yes there is a go and a stop. Try reading what you write and spell-check.
Is there really a god? If so, why does he let things happen the way they do?
To answer your question, if that is what it is: No, there is no god, if what you mean is like a personal male friend you can pray to, and bargain with, and who will suspend the laws of nature and cause and effect, just for you, because you said something he liked. This is wishful thinking taken to the extreme.
Now, if you want to think about taking responsiblity for your own troubles, and making intelligent choices, and being grateful for your wonderful life, then you can begin to answer your own questions.
The reason things happen is becasuse they DO. Follow the money, in most cases. In natural disaters, the answer is we are part of nature and nature is a powerful and indiscrimate source of electricity, minerals, water, stars, and more. It does absolutely no good to worship nature, if what you want is to make deals. But to try to understand your part in it, good idea!

It is said that God loves us and is our Father. Think about this if you had a child (or if you have a child) then would you love them? would you want them to be in pain? now I would hope that the answer to the first question is Yes and the second is No, now having decided this, answer me this question, would you let them go skateboarding/cycling etc.? I think that the answer to this question is Yes. So although you love your child you would allow them to take part in an activity that could cause them harm. You would do your best to guide them yes, but still you let them take part. Gods love for us (in my eyes) is like that.
