I think a substanial portion of americans are too busy watching the o.c and reading the gospel of george to care if their bombs just killed a family or several.

For that reason too they probably could'nt be bothered reading the history of irsaeli invasion/occupation/etc etc in lebanon and palestine etc etc. Some of them actually think lebanon attacked israel! which shows the level of research that most have undertaken,e.g entertainment tonight.

So don't bother, until its a legless armerican kid or they put the pictures on american idol or better yet on lindsay lohans website i doubt you'll get their tear taps on.

Actually, that could never be my kid.

You see, I would NEVER allow terrorists free passage through my backyard, knowing they would attack my heavily armed neighbor. Was this truly not predictable?

If the lebanese citizens would stand up and do the right thing, rather than nod and wink as terrorists cross their land, there would be no conflict now. Israel would have no reason to invade.

This is exaclty what muslim countries have always wanted -- a blood bath. Just remember who fired first! How many times must Israel bomb their people back to the stone age before muslim nations figure out that aggression is not in their best interest?

No, those children were wounded or killed in an accident; an accident that would NEVER have happened, had Hezbollah minded their own business. So don't blame Israel.

P.S., I Know Israel is neither perfect nor innocent. But in THIS conflict, at THIS time, they are right. Any country would do the same!

People like Kate Y disgust me. You clearly have no concept of the reality of the situation and quite frankly your mouth should be shut in regards to this topic you uneducated hack.

The blood of every dead civilian in Lebanon and Israel is on the hands of Hezbollah and the United Nations.

The UN is to blame for not enforcing their own stupid resolution long ago that said Hezbollah was to be disarmed. Perhaps if the UN was more than a worthless waste of everyone's time, this situation wouldn't be ongoing.

Hezbollah deserves the majority of the blame though because it was them who struck the first blow. Despite this conflict existing for longer than any of us have been alive, Hezbollah broke the peace that had been in place since Israel left Lebanon in 2000. It was Hezbollah who violated the Israeli border and attacked on of Israel's military outposts. That is an act of war.

Hezbollah chooses to be cowardly though and fire rockets from positions entrenched in civilian areas, going as far as using civilians as shields. These dead innocents lost their lives because of Hezbollah.

The validity of Israel is an entirely different topic but it's quite funny to see American youth denouncing Israel and calling into question it's legal status as a nation. Ask yourselves, where did you get your land?

If you question Israel's existence without packing up your own house built on land first stiolen from the natives and then stolen a second time from the British, you are nothing more than a damn hypocrite.

these kids are likely the same place thousands of americans went on 9/11. And countless number of people have gone before and since at the hands of islamic radicals. this sh*t isnt good in either direction.

and what kind of a dumass question is this anyway? all of your questions are anti-american and incendiary. Look that word up. Well, I forgot, that word is probably in the bombmaking handbook so you might know it already.

BTW, if America is so bad, why are so many middle easterners, arabs and muslims, headed over here on H1B visas to take the high tech jobs that americans need. Why are they here running all the convenience stores and gas stations and taking money out of our nation and returning it to middle east? Guess what, I see them in great numbers at the mall and home depot. I think they like the american way......

Hate bred hate. Many say that it was hizbollah 's fault for sparking the war and many say israel is being disproportionate in responding to the terrorist attack and israel knows that as well, in fact they want to be indiscriminate and disproportionate in the damage and killing to deter future attack. Terror breds even more terror. Truth is israel is better and more successful at using terror than any of the terrorist nowadays, they bombed the colonial british to establish independence. Their early leaders were members of jewish terrorist group ;it 's an endless battle, with years of witnessing death around you, everything becomes no more than a score to settle, like a game between two adversaries trying to outscore each other in casualty inflicted. An eye for an eye, and the whole world goes blind(Gandhi)

I think that the loss of any kid is bad. But, I do not blame Israel -- I blame Hezabollah of attacking Israel and firing first. I blame Hezabollah for hiding among the common population and puttting the average man, woman and kid in harm's way.

Is the loss of life sad-- yes.
Do I wish it would stop---yes.
Do I want Israel to defend themselves--yes.

Don't you dare say that Hezabollah is innocent in this, because the offensive actions they have taken and the arms and $$$ given to them by Iran is ridiculous.

And you are asking this question because the arabs, when they target where to detonate their bombs, always choose just military targets. Never buses, restaurants or malls, so not to hurt civilians You are very smart, Tito Bobito..
