I just started birth control pills in early july say around the first sunday, and I missed quite a few but made up for them like the directions say so, and me and my husband had unprotected sex almost every other day. Now it's time for my period, I'm on the 3rd green pill and my period still hasn't come on what should I do? Could I be pregnant?

it's certainly a possibility, however, I'm also on the pill and generally I get 3-4 days into my inactive pills before my period starts. it takes some women longer than others to start. I'd give it one more day and if you haven't started, go buy yourself a home pregnancy test. in the mean time, don't get yourself completely stressed out about it b/c the stress sometimes makes your period hold off even longer.

also, I would suggest setting a daily timer on your cell phone to take your pill. this is what I do with all of my medicine so I never forget to take it.

yeah, you could, but sometimes when you are just starting on birth control it takes a while for your body to get used to the pills providing the hormones. Anyway, that too could be why your period is a little late.

If you are really concerned, pick up a 2-pack of pregnancy tests from the drugstore, and do one today (because you probably wouldn't be able to put it off your mind till tomorrow) and if it is negative, then do the other first thing in the morning when the pregnancy hormone (HCG) will be the most concentrated.

If you do happen to NOT be pregnant this time, you might want to consider employing a more reliable means of reminding yourself to take your pill EVERYDAY, around the same time each day.
I take mine every morning when I get home from work, before I feed the dog. It just helps me to have the routine.

Good luck.

That is a possibility, especially since you only started on the pill a month ago, and generally the pill needs to be in your system for at least a month to be fully effective.... couple that with the fact that you were not using it exactly as you should makes your risk even higher. However, when I was taking the pill my period didn't usually start until the 3rd or 4th day of placebo pill, so be patient!

Hey there,
Birth control pills can make your period irregular. But chances are you can be pergnant because the pills start their effect after a month and its not been a month for you yet... So chances are u r pregnant. Go to your doctor and get ur blood tested because they are acurate than pregnancy tests. If you want your period to come,, try eating dry fruits ,,, lots n lots of dry fruits. No icecream n yogurt. n Plz go to the doctor before it is too late. Always have protected sex the first month, when you are on the pill.

Simply put, yes. You can be pregnant any time you have sex. Birth control or not, condoms or not. Sounds to me like you are TRYING to get pregnant! You missed quite a few and had unprotected sex almost every other day? Come on. Your husband might fall for that kind of trap but I'm a female I know how girls play..

It is possible, yes. One missed pill/day starts the 30 day period over. I believe that the birth control pill can cause a false positive too, so you better see a Doctor for more accurate testing.

Yes you could be pregnant because you missed your pills and had unprotected sex. However when you first start the pill it takes a few months for a regular cycle! So i would say take a test...

You could be pregnant, or your body is still adjusting to the pills. When I am on the pill I do not start until the 3rd pill or so ((Then again I onlyhave a 3 day period)).

If you do not get your period soon, I suggest going to the doctor for a test.

Yes, you could be pregnant. I would suggest you do a home test asap.

If you are not pregnant you need to consider using a different form of protection or making sure you are consistant with taking your pills. If you are on the computer daily put your pills where you will see them every day and will remember them. Put them somewhere that you will see them and take them.

Yes you could be. Even IF you hadn't missed any pills you could be preggie, they are only 97% effective. My third is a pill baby and my neighbor conceived her last two on the pill. Get a test. If you are concerned about using the pill, you might wanna check into getting an IUD.
