I understand the basics; profanity, soliciting minors and racism. I am all for reporting people who have a blatant disregard for the aforementioned. But I am seeing people who are getting reported for sentiment that does not agree with someone else’s ideology, I have seen people reported for posting their views and not in the form of a question that was palatable, I have even seen people get reported for being to chatty. If someone is asking a question that you obviously will not like or approve, why click on it? Just ignore it and move to another question you would enjoy. Also what is the benefit or motivation to report someone and what (besides the obvious) will make you report someone else?

Well, several people whose posts I enjoy are suspended, like Kubrikian and he was usually pretty respectful and yesterday I read a question where someone’s answer said “ You are being too chatty-REPORTED!” The question was stupid and obviously a kid- I just didn’t understand the point of reporting him or her…
