i have not been convicted of anything and my lawyer was taking care of things and so she up and moves to another state with out me knowing where she is and so now i have a warrent for not being in court,i have not received anything from anyone saying i had to be there,the reason i know this is my husband and i went to the storeand we got pulled over for a traffic violation.

I would imagine that the statue of limitations would be different from state to state. As long as you are charged with a crime with in the statue of limitations though, I don't think it matters when your court date(s) are. Get a new lawyer and explain your situation. Good luck

I think you have misunderstood the statute of limitations. The moment you were charged it ceased being a factor.

You should call a new attorney. Possibly two...a good criminal attorney to clear your record and a civil attorney to sue your old attorney for malpractice. It sounds like you have a good case. Call the state bar association for a referral if you don't know of an attorney. Don't wait on the DUI. The longer you wait the worse it will be.

You get pulled over for suspicion of driving drunk, or for the different offense, the officer has you do a field sobriety try, you fail, and you get arrested instantaneous. it is not the form of offense that they spend an prolonged time investigating to locate the guy who did it.

If their is a warrant out for you... your not past the Statute of limitations

should be 7 years, for normal non leathel crimes done out of maluce it will always be on your criminal record though unless u get it expunged
