is workplace performance better if cigarette consumption is allowed?

many of us work hard jobs, and smoking cigarettes gives some of us the much needed food, rest, and air we need. do you think places that prohibit smoking cigarettes would harm your performance, if you did work there?

I take a cigarette break after completing certain tasks. It works both as an incentive and a reward.... even if I do have to go outside in 100 degree and -40 below weather.
