A simple funeral; family flowers only. Perhaps 'Ben' sung by Michael Jackson as the coffin is lowered into the soil.

If there is a baby rat, you can bet your bottom dollar that there is a great big fat mother rat somewhere around - try and dispose of it properly because you don't want maggots and flies aswell as a rat infestation - bury it or burn it - because rats also eat other rats and you don't want the thought of the mummy or daddy rat eating its little boy or girl, now do you

Bury it (use gloves). Speak to your local authority about pest control - they may put traps in your garden but will also advise on possible disease contamination of the water in your butt.
If it was in contact with the water, you might want to empty the butt. Rat urine in water can cause some nasty diseases - you may only be watering the garden with it but if you ingest it accidentally you would wish you had been cautious!

I honestly don't know. I think it could have happened either way. As of now, there are two things you can do. You can either leave it there and let nature take its course (my guess is that your neighborhood cats will be very happy) or you could pick it up with a shovel and bury it. It's really entirely up to you. Hope that helps :)

If its a baby its got brothers and sisters. That means if they are not dead they will grow into big ones then have more baby rats. Put down poison as long as no other animals can get it or call in the rat catcher. The dead one down a loo.

So many mixed feelings...eww....awww! well, bury it or chuck it in the bin, probably died because its head got stuck and then the water drowned it....rest its soul!
btw, check for others because they seem to mate with their brothers too....gross!

You probably have a whole infestation problem there. Where there's babies, there wil be mums, dads, brother, sisters, aunties, uncles, cousins. Get the picture?.
