I had irregular as well! The BEST method that I found out to FINALLY get preg. was to have sex EVERY 2 days. Yes, I did while I was on my period as well! The ovulation test would tell me I was ovulating yet....So I hope this helps you out and don't forget relax don't let your nerves get the best of you because that can slow things down as well! BEST WISHES!

Though harder, it is possible. I never conceived while my periods were irregular, I was doing the clomid, then the clomid w/ the shots to stimulate the ovaries. Finally I just gave up, I found that the hormones and all the chemicals had really done a number on my mental stability. Not to mention my marriage. We split up, my periods became regular. My divorce final. And though my hormones indicated that I was Peri menopausal. Actually was thinking about having a hysterectomy. Doctors said that I would never conceive. Then bam!, I'm knocked up. 12 weeks. So anything is possible. I know how annoying it is to have people tell you to relax. And tell you, "Just when you give up, you'll get PG." Well it holds some truth. Definitely relax, especially while taking the fertility drugs.

I have VERY irregular periods, always have and i never tried to concieve but i did just find out i was pregnant this very morning, i actually had no idea that really mattered as this is my 2nd pregnancy though first baby i miscarraged at 18 weeks last time, and both times this time and last time we had used condoms and the first tijme i was on birth control to regulate my periods (though that didn't work to well) My point in all this is maybe its not your irregular periods that are the problem, I'm sure you've already done sperm counts and all that but ask your doctor about other possibilities that are making it so hard, and irregularity could probably affect ovulation but i think its something else. my best advice is have a lot of sex as many times a day as possible which can either be chore with all the baby stress or a stress relif depending on you and your husband but if your having alot of sex one of his little swimmers are bound to get lucky eventually when you do ovulate

My advice would be to start making some changes in your diet before taking the clomid and ditching the charts. Diet and nutrition are proven to play a large role in women's fertility, and there are things you can do to try to regulate your cycles. There is an excellent supplement called Optivite PMT that has been very helpful to women. Also, there are things you can do like keeping your room completely dark that are actually proven to help get some cycles back on track.
Then you can go back to the charting, which will be more effective.
Lots more info about irregular cycles in a book called The Art of Natural Family Planning.
Best of luck to you and your husband!

I found out two weeks ago that I am now in my 11th wk. I have always had irregular periods. I have been married for 6 1/2 years and this is our first baby. We never tried to prevent it before. 6 months ago I found out that I have thyroid disease and that that causes infertility and messed up periods. The doctor put me on meds and got my thyroid level normal. I can't say for sure if my period got normal or not. I think it was normal for one month and then bang I'm pregnant! Have you ever had your thyroid checked because there is always a chance. I was on my meds for about 4 months and got pregnant. Give it a shot, ask your doctor to check your thyroid. And Good Luck!!!!

I had irregular periods too, but my doctor prescribed medroxyprogesterone, and that makes your period come on, and soon as you get your period you should start taking birth control pills so they can regulate your cycle, and if you are lucky you'll probably get pregnant while taking them. Who knows give it a shot. My husband and I tried clomid it didn't do anything but overstimulate my ovaries so I probably release about 5 eggs each month, and now I think I am pregnant because my period hasn't shown up for 3 days, so maybe what didn't work for me might work for you.Good Luck!!!

there are lots of folks walking around born to moms who had irregular periods. So, while mother nature isn't going to make this easy for you, just try and be patient!
Don't panic, that could slow things down. It will happen. When you are up for feedings and diapers, for the third time, at 3:00 am, after no sleep for a couple days, you will try and remember why you were in such a hurry!!!
Good luck!

Period comes 14 days after ovulation. In your case you might ovulate on day forty two of your cycle. You can use BBT procedure to chart whilst you ovulate. You have to see a fertility expert to determine the motives of rare ovulation and method to keep an eye on that. If you've gotten well coverage, all that can be blanketed. Good good fortune!

I answered your other question, But i didn't asnwer if you can concieve, Yes, as long as you are fertile, and have your periods, you can concieve just as much as anyone, and your chances, are just the same as anyone elses. It will just be harder to track fertility time charts. Some women have their periods ever 6 weeks, otehr have theres every 4 weeks but only have 3 day periods. it's just their cycle. some have theries 30 days, then 20 days, then 30 days, it's just their cycle. But if thats not he problem I gave an answer on your other question.
