i do not really know where the unpopular people went. that is really strange. i never thought about that until now. thanks (; the so called popular people did pretty well.. good professions. some football players have a gut now. and of course some of the popular girls have added a few pounds. but our popular kids in school were very nice. they were not snobs.. so the remained the same..personality wise. and they are still bubbly..smart ..like to have fun. and that was yrs and yrs and yrs ago. thanks for making me smile today.

Most of the very popular ones did not live up to the expectations of greatness held for them in high school. Too many seem to be still yearning for past glories to have gotten on with making new ones. Among the women are lots of housewives without interests beyond clothes, makeup and how they look along with how far they can push their children (and grandchildren!) to be cheerleaders and football heroes. Some of the guys went into the usual work-a-day-Johnny jobs or local politics and you still hear them sitting around talking about this or that 'big game' from back in the '60's. All of them still here are fanatics about the high school sports to the point of being insane. There are bound to be a few who've made a 'name' for themselves in other ways, I just can't think of any from the kids I knew. On a positive note, many of these folks do have successful family lives and seem quite happy.
More of the unpopular (particularly the troublemakers) shook the dust off their heels and went on to see new places and do new things. Documentary producer, 2 are resort owners in other countries, choreographer with time on Broadway, production manager in the movie industry... and the list goes on.
The percentages of future success in more cosmopolitan careers, in my hometown at least, seem to favor the unpopular or troublemakers by a wide margin. I moved back here to retire and have been amazed at how many never left except to go off to college, only to return to continue being a "big fish in a little pond".

I just went to my ten-year reunion back in June...
This is no joke - ONE of the pretty, popular girls was still hot - the rest were dogs, too much tanning, makeup, and they just looked OLD which is weird, considering that we're all in our late twenties.
One of the 'fat' girls lost over 100 pounds and looked so hot no one knew who she was, two of us looked EXACTLY the same (yes, I'm one of the ones who heeded the advice written by all of my friends in my yearbook and 'never change'd)...
All of the guys looked the same, with the exception of the four football players who somehow managed to gain pretty much the exact same amount of weight in all the exact same places.
This being said, my reunion was a BLAST! We all went out to Applebee's afterward and had a good laugh about how true it is that high school is so tough when you're in, and nothing like the real world you face when you get out.
Only one girl who was rude and snotty in school was rude and snotty at the reunion - - - and surprise, surprise... she's the one who was still hot. LOL

I love this question. Everything changes after high school!
The once popular are now fat, alcoholics or pill poppers, ugly, divorced, unemployed and broke, with snot nosed brats hanging all off them. While the unpopular are sexy, rich, free, and very fulfilled. I love it.

funny you should ask this- my last reunion I looked so GOOD that the "popular girls" actually tried to lock me in the bathroom cause they didnt want their husbands ogling me!
(I just had my son 1 month before the reunion and was slimmer than I was before I got pregnant, and really looked quite HOT!)
The girls all got FAT and the guys I used to cry over got bald and fat!
What a great day!
